Good To Read:

Sign in to My eBay and on the left click on Sellers Central. Read all the links starting with Getting Started. Click on Services link at the top of the page. Read Member Reputation, eBay Feedback Forum and About Me page.

Submit Your Listing:

  1. Make a folder on desktop or under My Documents and put in a 400 pixel .jpg (pronounced jaypeg) picture and a Word or Word Pad document description of your item. The title of your item must have key words in it so when one searches for your item you will be on the found list.
  2. For example my item has this title: Sloppy Joe's Bar, Key West, Watercolor Print. I figure they search for Key West print.
  3. Check on a eBay page that has the same item you wish to sell, to get an idea on how to make your description.
  4. Next go to the top of any eBay page and click on SELL. On the next page click on the button Sell Your Item.
  5. Select from all categories. Don't choose a second category. There is a charge for it!
  6. Select the main category and hit next.
  7. Put in your Item title and description by selecting, coping, and pasting from you Word document into the forms.
  8. On the next page put in the starting price and Buy It Now price.
  9. Next put in 7 days for Duration. Check start listing when submitted.
  10. Next comes Add Pictures: The first picture is free. Hit the Browse button and scroll to your eBay folder and select your jaypeg picture. You can add more than one picture with the next browse buttons. There is a $0.15 fee for each picture. There are Picture options that might interest you.
  11. Next chose your listing theme. There is a thumbnail picture of the theme when you click on the theme. I use the Tropical theme and get it by selecting miscellaneous in the Select a theme box.
  12. Next choose Gallery Picture. Gallery fee is $0.35 and
  13. adds a small version of your first pictures to search and listings. See example. Choose a counter and click continue.
  14. If you do not like something click edit and change it. Click Continue and put in your payment requirements. Click the continue button. Here you can see your listing, as it will appear in the browser. Here you can also edit any part to get it the way you want it. Finally click summit and you listing will go on line. After it's listed you can still edit it until it has a bid.
  15. Later you should create an eBay About ME page - it's free and by telling people a bit about you, I think it helps in the overall selling experience. Good luck selling!!

Bidding

Careful to not be outbid by last Minute bidders:
Are you losing bids in the last few minutes of the auction? Read on! While sleeping comfortably in your bed some nefarious SNIPER comes along and pulls the winning bid right out from under you. How do you fight this? With expensive software? NO WAY! It's real easy. E-bay has a "Proxy Bidding System.”
If you just bid the absolute maximum you are willing to pay for this item right from the start, the proxy bidding system will work for you! For example...if the bid is $2.00 and you feel it's worth $10.00 then you just bid $10.01 - the proxy system will automatically put a bid in for $2.25 and no one will ever know your max was $10.01.
This really works! Try it on your next bid..

Sniping using AuctionInsights, One of Many Shipper Software.
